CHANGE A CHILD'S STORY ™
The MISSION of CASA of the Parkland is to recruit, train, and support community volunteers who assist the court in protecting the best interests of abused and neglected children in the 24th Circuit (Madison, Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois, and Washington Counties).
Court Appointed Special Advocate® (CASA) volunteers advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for children’s best interests. They stay with each case until it is closed and the child is in a safe, permanent home.
Donating to CASA provides on-going support for our growing community of volunteers and the children they serve. Supporting our local children in any way helps bring them closer to a safe and permanent home.
Your gift to CASA of the Parkland may qualify you for the Champion for Children's (CFC) Tax Credit.
ABOUT CASA OF THE PARKLAND
In 1977, a Seattle Juvenile Court Judge found himself faced with making life changing placement decisions about children he knew very little about. He never felt confident he had their entire story, and was deeply concerned about what might happen if he made the “wrong” decision. Out of this concern grew the idea for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
CASA of the Parkland was established in 2020 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer based program and is a member of the Missouri and National CASA/GAL Associations. There are over 1,000 CASA programs nationwide and 23 in Missouri CASA of the Parkland is Missouri's newest CASA program!
